Still

a love poem

This could only be my poem
This road, my road
My poem
is spun around you

I have driven westward
under skies, over miles
Once I thought I knew
where I was going
I was going
straight in circles
I was going straight in circles

Calling home
I am careful not to mention
your name,
my weakness,
my strength

I have driven westward
dark or light
to your door
Driven by in silence,
morning piquing

Poet's note: Just a love poem.
