Yes, Thursday nights are quilt nights. I'm happy to report that after Luke left, I completed the entire pieced front. Now there is only the batting, back, binding, and quilting to be done. Wouldn't it be great to use this as a throw on the plane to Frankfurt on Wednesday? Unlike Luke, who has memories of his dad's quilt, made by his grandmother, my only quilt memory is of a little quilt that my mom bought somewhere. I used it often when I was little and don't get me wrong, I loved that throw quilt. When I saw it stuffed way at the back of my dad's oblong hall closet, I did feel some kind of nostalgic emotion. I've made one about the same petite size.
