Cubs sign Koskie
The Cubs signed Corey Koskie to a one year minor league deal today and extended him an invitation to spring training. He's scheduled to play for team Canada in the WBC and may not participate in spring training until after Canada is eliminated. The spots on the 25 man roster are becoming scarce and Corey will be competing for one of them. Hopefuly he can find a consistent bat and provide the cubs with some depth in the infield. Holzverwertung
Die Holzarbeit ist für diesmal geschafft. Sägemehl, Stückchen vom Holzhacken und Rindenteile sind zusammengekehrt und füllen einen großen Eimer, der jetzt im Klo steht, denn diese Reste dienen als Einstreu fürs Kompostklo. Das ist eine Verwertungskette!
Wenn die Asturier früher (und z.T. heute noch) eine Esche gefällt haben, dann wurden zunächst die grünen Blätter abgestreift als Leckerbissen für die Kühe. Der Stamm bei Bedarf als Bauholz zugerichtet, aus geeigneten Ästen Pfähle für Weidezäune gemacht, aus dem Rest Brennholz: das dickere Holz gespalten, Zweige gebündelt und zum Trocknen an eine Wand gelehnt, auch die mit nur 1 cm Durchmesser. Todo para lena. Armut macht ökologisch, oder?
