Oil on wood panel 8" x 8"
For some time now I have wanted to try painting still life objects at eye level and I had no stand on which I could do that. So yesterday I fixed a shelf up on the wall which gets the best light in the attic and is in the area where I normally paint still lifes anyway. It was great to get up close to the objects and really see them well. I have reposted this image after a little more editing but the actual painting is softer and more subtle somehow than the photograph suggests.
