A Merry Christmas

Another vintage Christmas postcard. I hope you are enjoying these. I've had several postcard collectors contact me about the cards and wondered where I got them, or if they were for sale. In a previous post I explained the post cards belonged to my Mother. I inherited them from her, and sorry they are not for sale. However, please feel free to copy the images.

This one is a of a lovely young women all decked out in her red coat. I love her hat, scarf and muff! Such detail in the picture. You wonder who the artist were that painted these beautiful scenes for the card companies. The card was printed in Germany.

The back on this card is more difficult to read than previous ones I've posted.

It is postmarked: Honolulu, Hawaii. Dec. 30, 1910

Addressed to: Miss. May Helling, "The Engleside" King St.---and then I can't decipher the city or the state.

"I don't really know where you are, but hoping your old abode- Sorry I did not write you before leaving Valporiza. As soon as I know your present address more definitely.
S. Edgar Hammestad"

You can only imagine what this all meant can't you. Maybe a lovers quarrel? An apology of sorts?
