The Lake Humane Society is in great need of volunteers to help with cleaning and front office work. Below is a description of what is needed and the times those positions are best suited.
Kitty Cleaners: These volunteers will assist the staff with daily cleaning duties. These duties include handling of the cats and cleaning cages according to strict cleaning protocols. Small animal cleaning (i.e. rabbits or guinea pigs) may also be included in your duties. Your job is to help our staff maintain a safe and sanitary environment for our feline friends. Times: 8am to 10am every day.
Front Desk Volunteers: The most important aspect of this volunteer opportunity is answering our phones. During times when the phone is not busy there are several other light tasks that can be done to assist the shelter. Keeping our information racks full, filing, mailings, and making follow up calls are just a few of the things we need to keep up with on a daily basis.
